Our Physician

Andrew D. Weiss, MD

After completing an B.S in Biochemistry from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Weiss attended medical school at SUNY Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, NY. He completed his internal medicine internship and anesthesiology residency at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.

In 1991 Dr. Weiss moved to South Florida and began his anesthesiology practice at JFK Medical Center with Palm Beach Anesthesiology Associates. He specialized in both cardiac anesthesiology and pain management services.

In 1996 Dr. Weiss dedicated his practice solely to pain management issues. He established an independant invasive pain management practice. There a multitude of conditions were treated. They ranged from degenerative spine pain, to shingles pain, to disc herniations and even cancer related pain issues. The practice was invasively based with procedures ranging from epidural injections, to facet rhyzotomies, to percutaneous disc decompressions. More invasive procedures included surgical implantation and management of spinal cord stimulation systems and implantable spinal morphine infusion systems.

Many of the patients in the practice were involved in either work related or motor vehicle related incidents. The interaction with attorneys on both sides of the issues gave him a broad spectrum of knowledge of the legal aspects involved in these cases. Final reports and Life Care Plans were incorporated into many of these patients treatment plans.

Currently Dr. Weiss is dedicated to assisting patients and their attorneys in clarifying  their medical-legal issues and providing both the patient and the attorney with optimal support.
